Low volume

Playing video on Hulu I can’t the volume very loud despite the fact that I max out the visible settings.

I could get SLED10 much louder than Opensuse 11.

Any ideas?

Go to yast - hardware - sound
On you device
click the ‘other’ button, lower right - select volume
move the slider to MAX
finish

jsrseshs, if you find you have distortion from moving the slider to MAX, back off to 75 to 80% or so. I never max out my volume controls as I get distortion.

But after following caf4926’s advice (slide to 80% for so) then launch your mixer and ensure master and pcm volume are up to 65 to 70% or so.
