After the latest updates, the computer started behaving suspiciously. At first, the icon-only task manager didn’t respond (alt-tab worked for already running programs), but after Changes.20240517 time, I also started getting a lot of Process xxxx (xxx) of user 1000 dumped core messages. From journal did hung up kioworker, plasmashell, systemsettings, ksmserver-logou and even Steam (steamwebhelper). Switched from Packman Mesa to OpenSUSE version, no changes. Rollback to Tumbleweed 20240508, KDE Frameworks 6.1, Kernel 6.8.8 helped. Someone got something similar?
Are you on AMD?
Yes, old AMD Ryzen 7 1700 on Gigabyte AB350-Gaming and Radeon RX 6600 XT. For example, ksmserver-logou is got, when tried to restart, so sudo reboot was solution.
[🡕] Process 20797 (ksmserver-logou) of user 1000 dumped core.

Check and make sure Resizable BAR is enabled in your motherboard BIOS. I can’t guarantee it will fix your issues, but many users are reporting it’s fixed it on their systems.
It’s so old motherboard, that there is only above 4G decoding setting but no Re-Size BAR option at all, also after updating BIOS to latest F52 version. Let’s hope, that this time is issue resolved faster that old random “amdgpu: GPU fault detected: 146” error from kernel 4.16 time got resolved somewhere in kernel 6.0.x
