Lost video after update

Using XFCE. I only get audio when using smplayer or mpv after yesterdays software update. Where do I start to diagnose? Thanks in advance.

Why running as root??

That was only the first post running zypper. The rest as USER.

This is root or not?

Not as root as USER.

My prompt as User:

stephan@linux64:~>

My prompt as root:

linux64:/home/stephan #

So for me the # indicates you are running it as root.
Also localhost and not USER@localhost

Sorry, I can’t remember how I got to that point, but doing it again as USER here’s what I get.

OP is using 15.6, not TW.

OP does need to learn how to post command output. Nearly every day someone here gets told how to do it, so any competent search will show how to properly share command output here preserving original terminal formatting. Quote heitormoreira’s post #15 to see how he did it.

You have a mixed set of Mesa packages from packman and openSUSE. You need to make sure that ALL Mesa packages come from the same source: either packman OR openSUSE.

Additionally your repo list seems like a mess. We can help you clean it up if you show the output of zypper lr -d

The 32-bit packages are in most cases pulled in as dependency as they are needed for several applications like Steam or multimedia applications. They are build for arch x86_64 as can be easily seen at the arch column of the output.

For real 32bit machines other repos are needed (called port).

You’re right. I didn’t pay attention to that.
I was trying to figure out how he ended with all that installed and he probably got them as dependency, since they were all auto-installed.
Thanks.
