Lost sound after upgrading to KDE4.22

Hi!
I’ve never had any problem with sound on my Dell Laptop. Its a very standard Intel Sound-chip.

After upgrading from KDE 4.21 to 4.22 i lost sound. I rerun alsaconf but with no luck. Then i try Sound-settings in Yast-Hardware-Sound and then the sound come back, but after reboot its gone again.

I also try “rcalsasound restart” but then the volume-controll disapeare and still no sound.

Bug in KDE4.22?

Try right click on the kmix in the sys tray - Select Master Channel
Try a different channel.

Hi!
I tried this and none of the channals gave me sound, but if i go into Yast - Hardware - Sound, then the sound suddenly came back. I didnt have to do anything just enter Sound and then click OK to exit.

After reboot the sound disapears again! Why this happens?

Could this be permissions related?

When you have no sound as a regular user, do you have sound with root permissions?
