Hi guys, so my stepdaughters laptop has decided that it doesn’t want to connect to WiFi. It was connected yesterday and all the days before.
I will admit that I am unsure as to what has gone on. It’s been a while since I’ve used KDE.
All it wants to do now is to be wired even though the dongle is connected.
The network options on KDE options isn’t giving me any clues and YaST keeps on telling me that “Network is currently handled by Network manager or completely disabled. YaST is unable to configure some options”
As the laptop network connectivity is handled by NetworkManager, there should be a KDE network manager applet (icon in lower right system tray). From there you can check/edit the connection(s).
Hi, I’m trying to update my broadcom driver but cannot understand how to find my drivers on their website. The one I’m looking for is Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n. If someone could help me out, I would very grateful.
Annoyingly, I found out later when I decided to try another dongle. That in fact it was the dongle, not the software. Somehow she had managed to break it in such a way that I couldn’t see it when I first checked. So I do apologise for wasting people’s time here.
