I’ve used 13.1 in the past and it worked like a charm on my Asus G55vw albeit without the keyboard backlight. KB backlight worked on Arch with the newest KDE at the time so I figured it wouldn’t be long before openSUSE worked as well. I was right, 13.2 with it’s newer kde desktop does see and control the keyboard backlight.
Somehow though, after an update or two, the keyboard backlight controls no longer appear in the battery monitor settings but the back light is on a set brightness. I’m okay with that, however, if the laptop is put to sleep for a period of time, the keyboard backlight no longer comes on and to top it off, the battery level always displays at 95 percent, even moments before it runs flat.
Is there any way to diagnose and fix this issue?
