Every once in a while those Dead-keys don’t function anymore,depending on the application. Openoffice is mostly unaffected, while Kmail has suddenly lost its dead-key settings. When looking in System settings nothing has changed. Dead-keys still enabled, same configuration and keyboard. After re-initializing dead-keys are back.
