loop mounting mixed mode images (toc/iso)

Hello,

I backed up many of my very old games on hard disk.

Part of the backups are “iso” files. I don’t remember how I did create them :-(, but k3b say they are “cdrecord bit to bit images” and there is a “iso.toc” binary faile associated.

I guess there are mixed mode cd (music + data) also called multipart cd’s.

I can burn them to a cd and then open them.

But I would like to use them with dosbox without having to burn a cd each time.

For ordinary cd’s, I mount then with loop, copy the data to the hdd and usually it works.

I found “bin2iso”, but it do work with cue files and the format is not exactly the same, and is do not create correct cue from my isos.

Do you know any way to manage this without using real cd? how to extract the iso/data part?

thanks
jdd

acetoneiso2 (software.opensuse.org:) might help.

yes, it worked.

I had to dl also an other non-free (but gratis) software (automatically done) to convert the image, but the conversion worked.

Was concern me a bit is that there no easy to find wab site for this app, the domain name is no more active, but for the moment I will live with this,

thanks
