loooking for a suitable wireless card

Hey

I’m new to Linux and OpenSUSE and I’m looking for any suggestions for a wireless network card for a desktop which won’t have me hitting my head against a brick wall.

Hi, Owweeee,

Welcome to linux, I switched about three years ago and haven’t regreted it yet. Hope you’ll like it as much as I do

About 5 or 6 months ago I bought a very inexpensive adapter for my daughter’s OpenSuse 11.0 desktop. The invoice say it’s a “Wireless Adapter PCI Mosaic ENLWI-G with antenna”.

It cost about US$ 18,00, and have worked without a hitch ever since.

I think any mass produced, cheap one will work, if it doesn’t it’s no big loss, but that’s just me. You may want to check the linux hardware compatibility list at HCL/Network Adapters (Wireless - openSUSE

Good luck
