Hi,
I’m looking for the program PAR. It’s a paragraph reformatter: http://www.nicemice.net/par/ or something equivalent.
Can’t find it in the yast repos including packman.
If I need to recompile myself, what do I need to install for doing my own compiles?
Thanks
Syv

YaST > Software > Software Management.
Then, from the View button choose Patterns. Scroll down at left to Development. You will at least need Basic Development, but probably also C/C++ Development.

Hi
Since an application already exist for par (an archiving utility), it is called vim-par…
I have it built;
Project: Welcome - openSUSE Build Service
Download: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/malcolmlewis:/TESTING/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/x86_64/vim-par-1.5.2-2.6.x86_64.rpm
The PAR I’m looking for is not a archiving utility. It’s a paragraph reformatter and the website dfor it is: Par 1.53.0 - paragraph reformatter
Thanks

Hi
Yes, as I said, it is the application your looking for, it’s called vim-par since it clashes with a name already in use… look at the project and the spec file which shows it comes from nicemice.net
