Is there an application in some repo for Karnaugh maps minimizing?
I found some ones for Linux like Karnaugh Map Minimizer, GKmap, Boole-Deusto, WinLogiLab, but didn’t find them in openSUSE repos…

What do you mean you built it? Built the rpm or built and installed from source?
I didn’t intend to be mean, probably I was a bit desperate when I first posted, but it’s not that I can’t build and install, and I do have programing/coding basics (though I’m far from expert). Also after a search I found it’s not too simple bulding rpms…
Anyway, thanks for your help and sorry again. I just wanted to know if there was by chance an already built app among openSUSE repos since a friend mentioned it (he could have been wrong…). By the way, I first saw the mentioned programs here.
kmap is darn right YUK!!! need to look at a newer makefile to build
that it will take some time.

easiest way to answer that question is to search on the basic name of
the app at http://software.opensuse.org/search
just spin the dial for your version and go…but, be careful because you
may be presented with packages from repos with paths using word like:
unstable, experimental, maintenance, factory, playground and etc…
caveat emptor!
if there are no finds with that first basic search, and if you are brave
you can click the “Search Options” link and then check “Include users’
home projects” and then if (for example) Malcolm has built gkmap, it
will be in his home…and if you trust him, you are free to
download it to your system…
NOTE: as far as i know there is zero vetting of any code in any users’
home…i trust Malcolm, but there are lots of packages available from
folks i never heard of…
and, even Malcolm might make a small error and . . . [but, as far as i
know that has NEVER happened
