If you go to extensions in Chromium and then get more and search video downloader some should pop up. I don’t know how well they work.
I use one with Firefox that seems to work well from mozilla. An alternative if you use firefox etc instead. It’s here

Some of the streams come in 2 parts. Video and audio. Given the latest version of ffmpeg it will merge these for you. They provide a binary for it on there site and it can be put into any directory you want so it doesn’t mess up dependencies etc.
;)Actually I don’t use one but was interested having seen your post so installed it. There is also another famous one on firefox’s site. Wouldn’t work for me and I didn’t fancy giving it privileges via apparmor. I set it up so that it shouldn’t need that and it still wouldn’t work.
