Longtime kernels in slowroll

Hello.

The following kernels are installed in slowroll:

6.12.21-1.0.8.sr20250302-longterm
6.12.21-1-longterm
6.13.8-1-default
6.14.0-1-default

Because I have a rather old machine (intel gen7), I do not need the new drivers of a new kernel version and intend to switch to or stay on longterm. But two are installed here:

6.12.21-1.0.8.sr20250302-longterm
6.12.21-1-longterm

Which of them should I take or what are the differences? Is the 6.12.21-1-longterm an old one getting no security updates and the other one gets?

Thx for clarification.

Inspecting the contents of those two rpms, I see the timestamps on the two vmlinuz files are identical, but the sizes are not. I haven’t determined why that happens either, but I have multiple installations of both TW and SR, so I fetch each new kernel I expect ever to use only once, and keep it cached for use by others. Thus at this point, I would be using 6.12.22, which doesn’t yet appear in Slowroll. AFAIK, TW/SR kernels rarely get security updates per se, but rather security fixes show up as incremented kernel versions.

Thx for responding. Maybe you are right.

Kernel 6.12.21-1.0.8.sr20250302-longterm seems to be the security patched kernel.

Unfortunately no other guy from openSUSE clarifices it.
