go to : Skype HOWTO - openSUSE
and follow the guide.
cheers!

thanks for your reply but actually that contains tweaks after the webcam is configured with skype and how to install skype and trouble shooting the audio problems

I have installed skype have no problem with audio but this web cam thing does not work.

any idea how to configure webcam with skype. i did picked couple of hints from references but no joy yet

Actually, there is no special configuration needed to use video under Skype. If the video device is already identified by the v4l driver (usually /dev/video0), it will be recognized by Skype. Do you see any entry under Video Devices when you go to Skype’s Options menu?

I can’t help with skype … I never use it. But if you wish to simply do a quality check on the quality of images you can get from your webcam, you could take a look at this webcam fun thread:
webcam & microphone command line fun … - openSUSE Forums

Your camera is listed here
GSPCA V4L2 - Webcams
so maybe you have the same problem i had before.

so download and install this
http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb/archive/tip.tar.bz2

then restart.

you can also try this in the command line if the previous didnt work

bash -c 'export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so; skype'
