I can’t login after my screen goes into standby mode. The login screen comes up and I type in my password it says “checking” and doesn’t do anything else. Like its locked up or something. I have to reset my computer to get back in. Then it just comes up to my desktop, no login or anything. I’m using suse 11.1 and gnome. Anyone else have this problem?

I had something similar on ubuntu when switching users - if you left the first user logged in, then logged in to the second using the applet, when you logged out you sometimes couldn’t unlock the first user’s session. I found that clicking ‘cancel’ would drop me straight back to the same ‘unlock session’ dialogue, but it would work.

I have no idea whether there’s any relation, but it’s worth a try…
