Login to Wiki site breaks it

After authenticating with my IDP SAML account (https://id.opensuse.org / https://idp-saml.suse.com / https://idp-portal.suse.com) at SDB:Firefox MP4/H.264 Video Support - openSUSE Wiki,

[86c9bab341ce95824b4ca10e] 2023-09-10 21:32:33: Fatal exception of type “MWException”

appears.

Clearing site cookies remediates it until I login again, but then it fails identically again.

I wanted to login in the hopes that I would be able to report that some packages don’t exist anymore:

'libavcodec58' not found in package names. Trying capabilities.
No provider of 'libavcodec58' found.
'libavdevice58' not found in package names. Trying capabilities.
No provider of 'libavdevice58' found.
'libavformat58' not found in package names. Trying capabilities.
No provider of 'libavformat58' found.

https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1215187#c0

All good here and logged in… we don’t use bug reports for infrastructure, close it and send an email to admin{at}opensuse{dot}org so it will get picked up by the right person.

Thanks. Done, @malcolmlewis: 1215187 – Login to Wiki site breaks it.

Actually, that whole Wiki page is deprecated, I’d say. Now that we have Cisco’s H264 codec available.

Of course that’s only H264. So one still will need those libraries – the ones available at the moment, with their respective new versions, if that’s the case – in order to be able to watch broader contents. And that’s where Packman is still needed, depending on the content you want to consume.
