Login prompt

Hello everybody!
Is there a way to prompt for username and password at the login time rather than login directly to the user which I created during installation time(say umesh)??

I installed VMware-server on Opensuse and installed XP as a guest host. But when I tried to view it in full screen and Suse gave me problem and I had to restart it to fix it. Now when I log in using umesh user account, I couldn’t see any Menu and Menu item. It won’t come up even if I press ALT+F1 but ALT+F2 is working fine. So I want to login with different user that I will create and expecting login prompt at login time. Hope I will get back my Menu Item.

Thanks in advance.

turn off autologin in YaST under users or in the control centre under login manager

I can’t use GUI anymore to change things. Is there anyway to do it in CLI? If yes then I will appreciate if you tell me that name of file. Thanks for your prompt reply.

Umesh

Oh ok. I got way to change user when screensaver came up. Now I can use yast2 to do that.

Thank again.

Just a reminder: you can of course run yast in text mode from any CLI just by typing “yast” <ENTER>. This is NOT Windows.
