Login Problem 12.1 - 4.8

Hi

I have OpenSuse 12.1 with KDE 4.8 installed. All was working brilliantly until I decided to update today (via zypper up). I haven’t been able to update for a while due to your server issues and could not be bothered temporarily configuring the repo’s.

I get to the login screen without a problem. Now when I enter my password the screen goes black for a second and the login box appears again. I can login to the failsafe fine.

Is there a way I could rollback this update? Any help appreciated!

Don’t roll back. In the login screen, at the left bottom, there’s a button for session management. Select KDE Plasma Workspace, login and you’ll be fine. Cause is probably a name change in some symlink.
