login password problem in first boot with initrd filesystem

hello, frnds i m posting my question first time as i m new in this community.
my problem is related to mounting initrd on arm9 using busybox1.00
when i flash my initrd on board first time it dont accept any password and displays incorrect login.as i had not set any password for it i dnt know why it is asking 4 it. and my hostname file is also not executing.

can any1 tell me what to do. i m working for this filesystem from last 3 weeks but cant find the solution. is there any default password set for it somwhere internally???

my /etc file in initrd filesystem contains these files-
fstab hosts inputrc mime.types passwd random-seed services
group init.d issue mtab profile resolv.conf shadow
hostname inittab ld.so.cache network protocols securetty TZ

after booting screen is like this-

Looking up port of RPC 100005/1 on 192.168.0.96
VFS: Mounted root (nfs filesystem).
Freeing init memory: 104K
