Login failed after fresh installation

I have tried to install openSuse several times and the same problem would persist.
Right after installation, when the prompt to log in shows up, I enter a username and a password, but it says that login failed. I am sure I type in the correct data as I have written down the username and the password I register during the installation.
Also, after the installation finishes, the computer restarts automatically, though instead of restarting it goes into a mode similar to stand by. The screen is blank and the media buttons of the keyboard are lit, but nothing happens, so I just restart manually. Could this have something to do with it?
I am sorry if this question has already been asked somewhere, but I could not find anything like it so I decided to ask here.

Please do not mind the post above. The problem “solved” itself somehow, but I still have no clue how.

In any case, we hope you enjoy openSUSE from now on

I have the same problem with live cd created in the suse studio. I don’t know what to do. Heeelp! :’(

  1. this is an old thread so may want to start a new thread and give details
  2. You may want to check in the suse studio forms.

You would have to ask in the susestudio forum - that is, if you have
reasons for installing a susestudio version instead of the standard version.
