just finished installing 11.2 and was pretty stoked but after the installation is completed the system goes to a blank screen for several minutes so I reboot from harddrive seems to load fine gets to this point:
master resource control : run level 5 has been reached
failed services in runlevel 5
skipped services in runlevel 5

now I try root and root password and get login incorrect!!
any help please!!
I also don’t have it connected it to the network and I am dual booting with a Windows XP and at some point during the boot up it says no root user
aaaahhhh!
If you didn’t do an md5sum and media check, that would be the first thing to do.
You could try to reset the password.

But personally I’d reinstall. You might just have got unlucky, and frankly, you have no idea what’s going on in there…
