Hi guys,
using suse 11.1 with gnome
Screen locks and asks for pass word. When i type this in then hit login etc it says checking password and freezes.I can log in normally when i turn the cumputer back on.
Also I cant load control center, saying cant load control settings
help
Sound like the config file is corrupt somewhere, this happens usually when you install from a downloaded iso image, something happened during the file transfer, did you try reinstalling the os to see if you missed anything, be sure to write down your password during install and i do not use auto login, let me know…

the OS was installed about a month ago and has been working fine up until recently. Is there a way to reinstall everything but keep my programs and files? its just a massive pain to re download all those repository updates etc
