LiveCD fails from USB - waiting for CD/DVD

Hi,

I’ve made a USB boot disk using UNetbootin for 11.1 B4

The USB disk boots fine and starts the installation, but installation fails waiting for my CD/DVD Device(s) to appear. If I had one, I wouldn’t be using a USB stick!

Does the wiki method to make a boot disk using the LiveCD ISO somehow prevent this check for CD/DVD drives?

Is there a file I can edit to disable this check?

Why is the check there in the first place, isn’t it a bit presumptuous to assume such a drive would be installed?

I am having the same problem. Used unetbootin and it says it doesn’t find CD/DVD media.
