I figured that a new thread might be better since I have gotten a bit further along.
I am still running from the “Live” version, wired ethernet and was wanting to test a Wifi connection.
When I go into Network Management / Network Connections, the wireless is grayed out.
In Konsole an “Iwconfig scan” shows the various Wireless Access Points (WAP) in my neighborhood. Using wlan0.
Do I have to do anything special to attach to my WAP ?
thanks

You’ll probably want to ask in the wireless forum - and provide
information about what your wireless card is. We can move this thread
over there if you like.

Actually, let’s just remove it. I can connect wired and I am sure we can fix wifi if necessary after a full install. Apparently there are some issues with this and the Live version.
So, please delete this.
Don’t forget to read the release notes for openSUSE. Also you may have to use Yast to configure your wifi.

No need to delete it, but if you’ve resolved the issue for now, then
that’s cool.
