Hi,
I have been running SuSE 11.1 for some time on one machine. My other, older machine, had hardware problems so I replaced the motherboard with an working one I had and decided to install SuSE 11.1 while I was at it.
The live CD starts VGA mode as usual and when I select to run the live system from it, it goes through the expected boot sequence as expected. The last stage I see is configuration of the X server - and then the screen goes blank, the light indicating data transfer to the monitor goes orange and the system gets stuck.
The current motherboard/cpu/ram/graphics have been used successfully with SuSE 10.2 in the past.
Any ideas why this might happen and - more importantly - how to get out of it?
Thanks,
Abe.
