Live CD Boot-up

Attempting to boot-up openSUSE 12.1 KDE RC2:

System: Asus eee 1015T netbook, 4GB RAM
Media: Live CD, Through USB connected DVD drive
Error message/s:

device: 3 was not an mtp device
2 was not an mtp device
fsck: fsck.unknown: not found

mtp has a variety of meanings - see MTP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - but my guess would be that the netbook has a limited number of device drivers and the combination you have used isn’t supported.

Since you can change the boot order to boot from USB, your alternative is to copy the Live-CD to a USB flash drive and use that instead.
