I once discovered a long list of software specifically for SUSE, I thought it was opensuse. Stupidly I didn’t write it down nor save it in my browser, I was on a Windows machine at the time.
Specifically it showed the SUSE version for Latex and Lyx. Now I can’t find it.
Once you have repositories set up for your machine, you can browse them and install software off them. Dependencies are resolved. No need to download until dependency hell is satisfied. So no need to save lists of available apps.
