linuxdcpp

So i have a fresh installation of fedora 12.1, i install a p2p client linuxdcpp in it and when i try to connect it to a hub it says network unreachable.I disabled firewall still nothing. Then i installed another client Valknut.Luckily it connects to the hub,but it cannot download anything from the hub.I am able to view the file shares of users but cannot download them.In all other linuxes i have used till now, such a problem never occured.please help me here :’(

Problem solved:
I ran linuxdcpp as root and it ran fine,so i guess i had screwed up somewhere, went and deleted the ~/.dc++ folder, again rehashed filelist, now working peacefully
Now please tell me how to configure firewall so that i can search and download.i guess the ports are 411 and 9176

Please do such a test next time by creating a new user and using that one, never root!

Are you aware this is an openSUSE forum? I know nothing about fedora.
