linuxdcpp and Suse firewall

Hello, when I turn off firewall, DC client works well. Not if I turn it off and I was not able to set it for dc. Is there any way how to set up the firewall so DC client can work? Because DC hub is in our local network, I would like to have “active” connection.

did you open the port in the firewall?

firewall - allowed services - advanced
add the port you need
411 is default for this service I think

Thank you, it works.

ur welcome

Hey,
I’m new to Suse, just camed from XP, I added the port “411” to the firewall, and then i started Linux DC++ and it still doesn’t work, it connects to hubs but i can’t use search and i can’t download even user lists… i need some help please, but steb-by-step cause i’m a noobie

Hi
Is that both tcp and udp? Have you also forwarded the ports on your
router to the machine running dcc++.
