What is it you are wanting to do? A box’s designation as a “server”
doesn’t mean much without services, so what are you looking for? File
sharing? Web services? Mail? Creating a Samba domain, for example,
will give you windows-like services for file-sharing which will also be
compatible with windows boxes. If you are in a non-windows environment
there are a lot of other options for the same, though, like NFS. You
could also share files via FTP or, significantly better, scp/sftp which
is encrypted and therefore much more-secure. For a web host you don’t
need anything like a windows “domain”, and for most if not all services
that should be the case so it really depends on your needs.
Good luck.

Samba is made to emulate windows services, but it is by far the only way
to share printers and files. The main service for that is called ‘cups’
and there are also other options.
Good luck.

i know all solution you suggest…
is there a way to create a server, create sharing file, printer on it…
and when we install a client, we said, check then server and the client have automcally all the sharing stuff of the server?
because right now, i can create a server with radius, ldap for authenfication, share folder with nfs (other way to do it without ftp, scp, web)? and use cups for printer…
so it’s there a opensource solution to do that?
is there any sirs? like AD of windows for SUSE?
