Linux installation

Problem with installing the linux and also with boot.

I have installed suse 11.1 and also xp dual boot in my system. I got problem with my xp so i tried installng it again. but that was not successful. So after that i tired loggin in usign my linux but i found that i am not able to login and not boot up screen coming atall. So i decide to intall the linux again. This were i found tht i am neither able to install linux. It was throwing me an error partion.(During t normall installion procedure where it asks for the place to insall). when i contined witht the error at one place i was asked for the installion medium where i gave it as DVD. But then it throw me an error that “No repositary found”. So i am unable to proceed after thant and now i am unable to use myhard disk i am using my old hard disk.

Can any one help in this

XP always thinks it is the only OS in the world; it always overwrites anything related to Linux. So reinstall XP and make sure it is working; then reinstall Linux.

But the problem is its showing only a part of the harddisk.
And the the drives which i have mounted inLinux is not getting shown in windows boot up. So it request me to format the entire system to install .

But in that case i will be loosing all the data which i have. I either dont have an backup too.

But let me know why linux is not getting installed and throwing “No repositary found” when i try to boot via linux
