Linux hardware setup

I would like to get my Linux modem functional in a similar fashion as my printer.

It has many features like fax and dialing the phone, but the dialing part is my main interest at this time.

Best regards.

Please explain what exactly is it that you need. Explaining what
“tenacious” means does not help.

Well, as a modem and a printer are two different pieces of hardware, it’s
unlikely that one can work in a fashion similar to the other.

OK, so what can you tell us about the actual modem? Instead of giving us
a lesson from the dictionary, tell us about the hardware you’re using and
maybe someone will be able to help you.

You might want to start here with what to provide when you have a problem
you want help with:

Further to this Andy, you started a thread concerning your USB modem connectivity already

https://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/hardware/490460-dialer-program-setup.html

If you still have not managed to connect using dial up, please return to that thread and let is know where you are stuck. I assumed you managed to get qinternet to work for you. (In an effort to assist you I installed qinternet and used my 3G modem to test it with.)

Qinternet is not working for me. Modem is Trendnet tfm-561U .

Please read the replies. Deano asked you to move on in the thread you already started.
