Linux Distribution Chooser

Just took the LDC test (zegenie Studios Linux Distribution Chooser) and it turns out I have 100% matches to openSUSE, Fedora and Mandriva. I am happy that openSUSE came up as one of the results.

Unfortunately I have a 100% match to 5 distros and 90% or better match to a dozen distros. Iā€™m so confused now.

I guess Iā€™m the sort who shouldnā€™t be taking this test. lol!

Itā€™s kinda neat I have to say.

100% of the following, Mandriva, openSUSE, and Fedora. I also like Sabyon Linux.

No surprises for me. 100% fedora. 100% openSUSE.

(mandriva @ 95% may not be suitable because my computer may be too slow ! ).

It worked for me too - openSUSE was mentioned before Fedora though.

Yes I also got openSUSE mentioned first. Then fedora then mandriva

Three times 100%: Fedora, openSUSE, Mandriva.
Took the test again, same answers: Mandriva, openSUSE, Fedora, all 100% ???

I wonder if it matters with the order they are in. Maybe the order is just random. I took the test again and I got Fedora first then openSUSE then Mandriva

No surprise here.

100%
Mandriva
kubuntu
openSuSE
fedora

95%
Debian
Ubuntu
Linux Mint

I wouldnā€™t consider kubuntu or fedora and I am a Mandriva defector.

Mageia will get a test once they get something out.

I think itā€™s randomised. I mean if the questionnaire yields a single key, the percentage score, then either the secondary key is something like the name or you just randomise it.

I got 100% Debian + 100% Ubuntu. Then I ran the test again and changed just one single answer: I replaced ā€˜debā€™ with ā€˜rpmā€™ as my preferred package and ended up 100% openSUSE + 100% Fedora + 100% Mandriva. Pretty silly!

I got 100% Fedora, openSUSE, and Mandrivaā€¦The funny thing is that I tried all three and I only like openSUSE

Cheers!

Hello all,

Also did the test and got 100% for openSUSE, Mandriva and Fedora.

I ran it using criteria for my mom who doesnā€™t even know how to start a computer, she seeā€™s a keyboard with all the buttons, and a blank screen and either runs for a typewriter or asks me to check something while she watches the screen. It says openSUSE and Fedora for her.

100% Slackware and Gentoo for me

  • Reason Why = ā€œYour computer may be too slowā€
^ Additional Reason Why = ā€œDoes not have a graphical installerā€ (ok, Iā€™ve been getting spoiled with graphical installersā€¦ )

A lot depends on what packaging system you say you prefer, I said deb and got 100% match for Debian & Kubuntu. If I say rpm I get Fedora, Suse & Mandriva. Just goes to show that if you like Debian based KDE systems there ainā€™t much on offer.
