Greetings,
I’m playing around with some Linux Distros since I detected some problems on Ubuntu I couldn’t fix.
One of my greatest problems on Linux is to make the old TV Card play.
I’m using the onboard soundsystem (the coaxial digital Soundoutput) and connected the TV Card Line-out to the analog Line-In.
On Ubuntu I found (after hours filled with anger ) a way to make pulseaudio loopback the sound from Line-In to S/PDIF.
Now that I’m looking on a KDE-based system, ALSA is the default Sound Architecture and I couldn’t make it loopback the Analog Line-In.
Turning up the “Line” Volume in the Alsamixer gives the Sound I need on my Headphones, the Analog-Front Output.
Trying to manipulate the Capture Devices doesn’t seem to change anything, googleing for ALSA Loopback or SPDIF tutorials doesn’t give any helping results, at least my skill is to low to understand them.
Maybe some of you got similar problems and a solution?
Thanks,
Sk1nk
