Limiting packages that update (Tumbleweed)

I am currently using openSUSE 12.3. Previously I installed Tubleweed. However, when I ran ‘zypper dup’ in terminal, upon restarting my system, it stalls at “Reached Target Graphical Interface.” I have read that this is an issue with graphic drivers. I had not installed any proprietary drivers due to not having great luck with them in the past.

After rolling back to a fresh 12.3 install, I would like to use Tumbleweed again, but I don’t want to run into this issue. I’m hoping that the simple solution would be to just disable the graphics drivers from updating. I am pretty new to Linux, so I probably need pretty specific instructions.

In Hardware Information, my Display Device is listed as ATI VGA compatible controller.

Any help would be appreciated.

After running su -c’lspci -nn | grep VGA’ in terminal, I get the following output:
00:01.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Wrestler [Radeon HD 6310] [1002:9802]

I do not realy understand how you missed that.

In any case, this is CLOSED for the moment and will be moved to the Tumbleweed forum.
