Apparently Lightscribe is installed but, I can’t find it. However my main problem is getting Lacie installed. It won’t install:
linux-syr1:/home/allan/Downloads # rpm -i lightscribeApplications-1.10.19.1-linux-2.6-intel.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libpng.so.3 is needed by lightscribeApplications-1.10.19.1-0.i386
I can’t find this for Suse here: RPM resource libpng.so.3.
I tried to install another distro libpng.so.3 but, no dice.
you need libpng3 installed,
Andy
Look for Lacie in /usr/4L/. IIRC it doesn’t install any menu entries by default, so you should manually add a menu entry to invoke /usr/4L/4L-gui. I hope you know how to do that in your DE (Desktop Environment).
Thanks I finally got that but, now and maybe another unrelated problem when I go to install Lacie I get the following as root:
linux-syr1:/home/allan/Downloads # rpm -i lightscribeApplications-1.10.19.1-linux-2.6-intel.rpm
error: failed to stat /home/allan/.gvfs: Permission denied
