lightdm unable to change the cursor size!

Is this a bug?
I am unable to change the cursor size of the lightdm, I am 100% that the /var/lib/lightdm/.Xdefaults is correct, (has the : Xcursor.size: parameter)

at least this works on any distro that I tried so far…

Proper permissions?

As you are, apparently, using Factory or Beta version, did you check if
this works in any of the standard releases, like 13.1? If it does, then
it is a bug and /you/ have to report it.
