oHi @all,
i´m having the following issue:
HW is an Fujitsu E780 SW is Opensuse 11.4 64 bit.
I have a CDROM/DVDROM which is in a “hot plug in slot”. I have a second HDD for the same slot.
My problem is , that if i change from HDD to CDROM or reverse, there´s no automatic mount
of HDD resp. CDROM. Any ideas?

Perhaps this is a BIOS setting issue. I see some where, for SATA, you must first select AHCI mode and second, you may need to enable Hot Plug Support in your BIOS. While not specifically aimed at your situation, AHCI and Hot-Plug seems to be a BIOS setup issue. Further, in a few cases, switching to AHCI Hot-Plug after the installation of Linux, might not work, but I would still give it a try to see. Obviously, a reboot of the OS should fix the problem as well as a little planing as to just what purpose you are going to use the drive slot for. But, check your BIOS settings first and tell us what you find there.
Thank You,
