LibreOffice in 11.4 (original and 3.3.2 from OBS): No SVG Import?

Hello all,
whenever I try to include a SVG picture into a ODT document (e.g. in Writer) I get a “Graphics filter not found” error message. I’m using the “Insert->Picture->From File” menu.
I still have .odt files from OpenOffice in 11.3 around that contain SVG cliparts, so it used to work and SVG support is one of the feature highlights in LibreOffice. What am I doing wrong? Does it work for anybody else?

Thanks in advance
Joerg

Works perfectly for me with 3.3.2. Go to YaST>Software management and check that you have all the available extensions installed.

i don’t know what you are doing wrong…i just followed your
“Insert->Picture-> From File” and just put a svg image into a LO 3.3.2
Writer document…worked perfect…

perhaps you are missing the filter…try: open YaST > Software
Management, search on libreoffice, then on the right find and install
“Import and Export Filters of LibreOffice” and “Additional Import and
Export Filters of LibreOffice”

if they are already installed, i think i would refresh them…

Thanks for the hint. I was indeed missing libreoffice-filters-optional. However, the description is misleading:

This package includes some additional import and export filters for
LibreOffice:

- AportisDoc (Palm)
- Pocket Excel
- Pocket Word
- DocBook
- XHTML
