Libreoffice 5.2 config directory

I have been using repository http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/5.1/openSUSE_13.2/

I decided to try http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/5.2/openSUSE_13.2/ to check it out on one machine before deploying to more.

5.1 is using config files in ~/.config/libreoffice/4-suse/
5.2 created a config directory ~/.config/libreoffice/4/and consequently my previous configurations (recent files, xslt filters) failed to function.

Was there a reason to change the config location and could I just link ~/.config/libreoffice/4/ to ~/.config/libreoffice/4-suse/

Not all machines are at 13.2, is the config the same on Leap.

Have you tried simply to copy what was in ~/.config/libreoffice/4-suse/ into ~/.config/libreoffice/4/ ? Unless the configurations in LO5.2 has changed dramatically, it should work. You shouldn’t have to make a symlink.

I think that this was just the personal preference of whoever built the packages in that repository.

FYI Using the main openSuSE distribution and update repositories for 11.4, 13.1, 13.2, Leap-42.1, and Tumbleweed the most recent LO versions and their configuration folders are:

11.4 libreoffice-3.5.4.13-103.1 ~/.config/libreoffice/3-suse/
13.1 libreoffice-4.1.6.2-40.1 ~/.config/libreoffice/4-suse/
13.2 libreoffice-5.0.6.3-31.3 ~/.config/libreoffice/4-suse/
42.1 libreoffice-5.1.3.2-8.1 ~/.config/libreoffice/4-suse/
TW libreoffice-5.2.1.2-2.1 ~/.config/libreoffice/4-suse/

I think that a symbolic link is slightly more preferable, because their is no reason to believe that the next build will not revert to the “suse” appelation.
