In one of these forums people mentioned that removing libreoffice-kde
package fixes the issue.
I would also try LibrOffice in a new user just in case

GNOME 3.10.1
openSUSE 13.1 (Bottle) (x86_64) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 3.11.6-4-desktop

I have issues in 13.1 with Impress
Inserting image in slides
By slide 3 or 4 it crashes and logs me out

Oh and I tried new user
Completely clean gnome only install
Completely clean kde only install

But of all my machines it’s only affecting my intel gpu laptops, not sure if that matters.

Yes, it does.

The intel driver included in 13.1 has bugs that can cause X crashes.
Try to install the newer one from here, that will be released as official online update in a few days:

Is there a bug report in bugzilla.novell which you are aware of.
I too see this issue.

GNOME 3.10.1
openSUSE 13.1 (Bottle) (x86_64) 64-bit

I will wait for it to flow into “update” repo

GNOME 3.10.1
openSUSE 13.1 (Bottle) (x86_64) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 3.11.6-4-desktop

Let me check that out - Thanks

Darn
It works !

Thanks Man

Ah… but
If I have lock screen on resume enabled it never gets back to the password login
Have to Ctrl+Alt+Backspace

Turned lock screen off and it’s OK

Actually turned out to be some flaky kde updates

Just a heads up:
The intel driver update has been released today

If you installed the update, you should better switch back to the official version again now if it’s not done automatically.

Hi,

the intel driver update solves only parts of the problem. The “log out” problem is gone, but I still have some problems when moving data from one column to the other in Calc or copying figures from Calc to Impress, resulting in freezing of LibreOffice.
System: Asus UX31A, Opensuse 13.1, Kernel 3.11.9, KDE 4.11.3, Libreoffice 4.1.3 from update (libreoffice-kde4 installed).
@Wolfi323: Did you delete libreoffice-kde4?

Michael

No. I have it still installed.

But I am aware of that problem:
http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/applications/492096-libreoffice-4-1-3-2-calc-freeze-drag-drop-cell.html
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=852459

The problem is not only Calc. When you are using Impress and insert a figure from a file (e.g. png file), LibreOffice will crash.
After removing KDE4 integration, it works (but it looks like a program from the 90ies ;)).

Michael

Have you filed a bug report?
I cannot reproduce that here. Maybe it depends on the image file?

After removing KDE4 integration, it works (but it looks like a program from the 90ies ;)).

It uses KDE’s oxygen theme here still when I uninstall libreoffice-kde4.
Try to change the Gtk2 theme in “Configure Desktop”->“Application Apperance”->GTK.

Today, I installed KDE4.11.3 from following repository (all files from this repository):
Index of /repositories/KDE:/Release:/411/openSUSE_13.1
This repository is not given on the Opensuse website under the topic KDE repository.

The corresponding KDE-extra repository is:
Index of /repositories/KDE:/Extra/KDE_Release_411_openSUSE_13.1

Now, adding a figure/photo from a file into Impress works.
Moving columns in Calc is still resulting in freezing of the system (with LibreOffice-KDE4 integration).

Michael

wow, so many reply…
it seems it has been fixed now along with update…
thank’s to you all…

may be if you install libreoffice-gnome instead of libreoffice-kde4 the proble will dissapear…
i use libreoffice-gnome eventhough i use kde desktop and no problem so far…

Thanks for the hint!

I was too fast regarding Impress and adding figures. It is still freezing sometimes (random) when adding figures from a file.
