Trying to run bitpim. It’s a 32-bit app and I’m using x86_64. Normally, I
have no issue with 32-bit apps but this one is crapping out looking for
libpng.12.so.0. The 64-bit version, from package libpng12-0, is in
/usr/lib64/libpng12.so.0. linux32 is installed.
Thanks. That raises 1 more question: YAST wants to replace the 64-bit
package when I select the 32-bit. Will zypper install just the
libpng12-0-32bit without mucking up the 64-bit verion or do I just press on
with YAST?
I also misread the abort info - I need another package as well so maybe that
will pull things in.

Never mind - looks like I need to look at the source. The missing stuff is
all python and looks to have some hard coded version stuff. This is getting
complicated but I’ll grab the source and see wtf is going on. A little
practice at rebuilding won’t hurt - much.

Man, was I ever naive! The last Sourceforge rpm was built in 2010 against
python 2.5. Then it got sticky… At least 5 other packages with both
python and gtk version dependencies will be required. Maybe I’ll pass on
this one…
Any recommendations for an app to interface with an LG cell phone via USB?
