An older version is needed by some software:

having a similar issue with nomacs here though the library missing is different:
Problem: nothing provides 'libexiv2.so.27()(64bit)' needed by the to be installed nomacs-3.16.224-2.25.x86_64

i can’t create new topic so i’m doing the next best thing - asking my thing in an as relevant one as it gets, the same package A missing dependency X.
what would you do in my place, move along?
Some people find the forum confusing.
First go to the category you want. For example, click on “Applications”. Then you should be able to start a new topic in that category.

it’s not confusing, it’s outright misleading - why even put the (inactive) button up there (on the “main” page) if you can’t use it as it is? i kind of naturally assumed it was some newreg limitation like one post per day/week or something.
