libmysqlclient_r.a missing in SuSe 11.2

Hi,

i’m searcing for libmysqlclient_r.a 64bit in openSuSE 11.2. On 10.2 it was included in libmysqlclient-devel, but now missing? Is there a package for that?

I have MySQL running great, no such file. Sure you need it?

Yes, i’am. The linker want’s it for a static linked program, which use the mysql client lib.

Noop, it’s my own But form deeper investigation, i’am not sure anymore, if i used the lib from suse, rather than using build mysql form my own.

Some other poster in the forum Stephen? claimed he found the .a’s in a libmysql-static package, but I couldn’t find it in the repos or contribs.

It’s present on 11.1 and less from libmysqlclient-devel looks like it
got dropped.
