You would need to take this up with the libinput developers.
Do you not find adjusting the scrolling speed sufficient?
Which could have been answered in my original question
NO … scrolling speed has nothing to do with “lines per click” when you move the wheel … when I move 12 lines per one click on my middle wheel that’s too much
Not directly, but as Nate Graham explained…
Even with the old Evdev drivers which were supported on Plasma 5, scrolling never did go by number of lines; it was always a lie. Some apps may have actually done that, or respected the setting, but many did not, and apps also differed by what a line actually meant. Did one line mean a line of standard-sized text? Or did it actually mean one actual line height–even for, say, list views with 96px icons? One app may have done one thing; another app may have done another thing. So in practice the setting always acted as a “scale up or down the default scrolling speed” setting, so that’s what we have in Plasma 6.
One line means “one line of text at my resolution” … you can render games properly but not text?
I’m trying to be of assistance as a volunteer - you asked more than one question, and as many do drip fed the answers. Sometimes more information is required to get further context, or provide more indepth answers, or ideas etc.
All I’m asking for is a proper way to adjust my mouse
Feel free to take your discussion up at KDE Discuss. It’s not openSUSE
specific in any case.
…and you don’t like the answers you’ve been given.
No answers … no fix … how long has this mouse problem gone unfixed?
That’s subjective. What you consider to be a problem, others may not. This is a pointless conversation to be having here. This is just a regular user forum- we’re not the developers.
