LFD (Login Failure Daemon) Not Sending Emails

Hello All,

I use LFD (Login Failure Daemon) to monitor SSH logons, block repeated connection attempts in CSF (ConfigServer Firewall) and monitor processes. Since installing it on Tumbleweed, I have found that it is no longer sending alert emails when a user logons on. My guess is that since the log files aren’t written to the file system anymore (/var/log/messages, etc), it has no reference for that information.

Has anyone gotten LFD working on Tumbleweed, or is there a way to have the logs be written to /var/log/messages without breaking the existing logging implementation? I would prefer to follow the new conventions were possible.

I was able to resolve the issue by installing rsyslog.
