Lenovo S10 Drivers ? 11.1

KDE install , no graphic drivers , no wifi , no hard wire networking drivers , no web cam , power management, Can anyone help with any of the issues listed thank you  I am simi new to opensuse but I know basics thank you.>:)

The Lenovo IdeaPad S10 is a fairly ordinary Netbook with the usual Intel N270 CPU and Intel 945GSE chipset. The only significant differences between such netbooks are the BIOS, the bootloader setups, and some of the peripheral devices, such as the Wireless circuits.

It has GMA 950 graphics, so as far as the graphics driver is concerned, it is the same as the Acer Aspire One, MSI Wind U100, and many more. I think the most likely solution is to run โ€œsax2โ€ again from the shell.

Are you sure the drivers are missing or do you simply mean that you have not been able to connect? KDE4 has problems connecting with both the wireless and wired networks. This is not necessarily a problem caused by a lack of drivers โ€“ at least not for the ethernet.

The WiFi has a working Atheros driver for series 5000 cards. The Broadcom B43 needs you to manually download the Broadcom firmware files. There is a script for this included in the distribution. If you check โ€œhwinfoโ€ for your Wireless card, it will tell you where to look for the script.

Power Management should be there. The Webcam could be a real problem since it is not so standardl

At my S10e nearly all is working, only the
Function Key FN & F5 for selective switching
of Bluetooth and Wlan does not work.

Wlan works ( nut not with active Bluetooth, while i changed teh Wifidevice to an intel4965
but the original Broadcom worked too ! )

Bluetooth works
Webcam works
Ethernet works
Grafics and Sound works ( with a trick )
ACPI - nearly all is working except, look above, the Fn F5 Keyshortcut.

I miss nothing - only the Problem of deactivate Bluetooth seperatly like Fn F5 in Windows - for this Problem i search for an Solution, but it could depend on my new Wificard - i am using 811a too, and the 4312/5
does not support 811a.

And - there is an Bug in the Install Routine in 11.1 - when booting from USB-Stick the Repositories where not accepted from Stick or HD - but Networkinstallation works.
