Hi,
I installed Windows 7, and after that, I installed openSUSE Tumbleweed to a Lenovo G505S notebook.
After installing openSUSE, the system was not able to boot. I saw a “Welcome to grub” (or something similar) for a second, and then nothing but a blank screen.
I booted the rescue system, and tried to repair grub2 manually (mounting dev, proc, sys, chroot, grub2-install, etc.) but in vain: the boot problem still exists.
I searched this forum, and found that someone suggested to use uefi settings in the BIOS (currently I set these settings to legacy).
I would be grateful if someone could help me with this issue. I don’t want to reinstall the whole system in UEFI mode (anyway, I don’t know how to do that with Windows 7).
Is there any other option?
Thanks in advance …
