Leap 42.3 => Leap 15 - Why this version number

Hi,
Just to understand…
Leap was following the release numbers 4X.X (42.0 42.1, 42.3 ) and in this new release the version is 15 .
Can anyone explain me why this ?
Why not follow and jump to 43.x…
