Leap 42.1: torture for eyes

Thanx gogalthorp, still have time.

One more question:
Can installation in VirtualBox show how rendering of fonts etc will works on the PC?

No different drivers. So I would not rely on it being exactly the same.

It has never been clear on what exactly it is you don’t like, just that something hurts your eyes? If font they can be changed if you don’t like the default. Also font rendering can be tweaked.

personalty I find breeze a bit tiresome to the eyes, you can still use oxygen, most lcd/led monitors run at 60 or 50 Hz and don’t really think they effect the ayes the same way crt’s did,
but subjectively speaking some colors may be more stressful then others, that’s why I said try lxqt it has a different look/colors, it’s small and tweaking it won’t change your plasma 5 config files.

It’s difficult to explain the personal sense.
Just breaking down of the eyes after hours and full disability in a week.
There is quite another matter with 13.1 now although at first sight all settings are same.

I took into account these items:
resolution, refresh rate,
font, anti-aliasing,
rendering backend, scale method, vsync
Something missed?

I found its appearance is not modern and as it uncompleted yet.
No reason to migrate to Leap (that looks great) and then losing this brilliance.

Also I met reference that infinality helps to get proper fonts.
Anybody use this utility?
